Cargill’s Crush Plant in Newcastle have put their faith in Hydroflux Industrial’s modern and low-energy HyDAF technology – twice!
After being selected to upgrade Cargill’s Crush Plant in Newcastle, Hydroflux has been preparing two HyDAF HD Dissolved Air Flotation Systems for installation at the site – one for primary treatment and removal of Total Suspended Solid and Oil and Grease, and another for secondary treatment and the removal of biomass after an MBBR.
To minimise disruption and capital costs, an existing Balance Tank, MBBR Tanks and Sludge Dewatering System will be reused and optimised as a part of the project. Other outdated equipment including a Jameson Cell, Media Filter, Chemical and Flocculent Dosing Systems and the control system will be replaced with new modern and efficient equipment.
The upgrade will see a substantial improvement in the treated water quality and allow partial reuse of the wastewater, reducing the amount discharged and saving on water consumption.
